Is it pronounced "Tunz" or "Tunzeeee", I am not sure but however you pronounce it I do know that they are considered a company known for quality in the hobby. I am running a JBJ 29 gallon nano and wanted to have everything running in the tank, including a protein skimmer which doesn't leave many options. The tank comes with a skimmer that uses an air stone which is basically useless. I purchased mine used from Greg Eller with an after market cup that prevents you from having to cut into and modify your hood for 70.00. These skimmers run about 150.00 retail and the modded cup runs 27.00 from In Tank. I will tell you that the aftermarket square cup is as must. The skimmer fits perfectly in the center chamber of the overflow on my tank. The build does not seem to substantial, I have seen skimmers that were built out of much more substantial plastic butt I have also broken several of those (at one time) as well so just be careful. The skimmer looks quite simple but as most things Tunze it does what it is supposed to. Within minutes of placing it in the tank it started producing as nice medium wet foam. The cup does not fitted security into its hole on the top but just rests on an internal platform in thee unit which I thought would be as problem, but it is not at all. The magic of the skimmer is in the pump and air injection system for skimmer where it should be. Sent from my A100 using Tapatalk
I have a Tunze ATO and had problems with it after a month or two. The company sent me a replacement, no questions asked the next day. Didn't ask for proof of purchase or anything. Highly impressed with them. The second has worked like a charm ever since.
That picture is exactly like money in the picture, tried to take one this morning but my phone was acting up. Thanks for uploading the picture. Sent from my A100 using Tapatalk
