Most of the stuff I have was cheap, I set it up about a year ago with fish only and it's been running pretty good, now I'm ready to start upgrading everything to get it reef ready.

  6. You are way ahead of the game with a tank set up that long.

Lol I still don't know what I'm doing... So I'm comfortable taking my time.

  9. Patience is always so hard in this hobby no matter what your experience level is. Fisher12 got on me the other day about waiting for an algae outbreak to die off rather than trying to manually fix the problem which just fuels the fire.

Well my new light assembly will be here march 10th I'm excited about it, also I work for the railroad, after u sit on a train for 12 hours and only move  50 feet, u learn patience real fast lol.

  11. I work for AngelOne at AR Childrens and do 12 hrs in a singe room so I am right up there with you on the patience curve.

    Tommy,
Lots of things in this hobby are personal preference.  I would ditch the artificial decorations in the tank.  Now bear in mind that's only my opinion and in no way meant disrespectful.  I just prefer to go for a completely natural look (not that there isn't a barrel sunk on a reef somewhere lol).  But you get my point.  I would also add a lot of live rock to the tank, it looks a bit empty.  If your not running one a good skimmer is something to look at buying.  I would be more than happy to talk to you anytime about things you can do with the tank.  If you want pm me and I'll give you my number.  I'm in no way an expert but I have learned a thing or two in my years piddlin' with tanks.  I think that is the true intention of this club, to pass on knowledge no matter what the level.  My door is always open to anyone wanting to talk tanks. Or pretty much anything for that matter.  Hope to see you and your partner at the Hot Springs meeting.

That was very delicately put Jason. Not to sound like an A or a B but it is my personal preference. Now if it comes to arrangement and benefit to my tank then by all means, I appriciate the input. Today I went by The Fish Tank and picked up 2 more Rocks, A cleaner shrimp. They also tested my water and said everything was great. I might try moving my Leather coral to a high spot with more water flow and light. So I have rearranged my tank... My clown fish Supervised it all... LOL With that said new pics :) Oh and I caught the UGLE CRAB... He is in a Bowl until I decide what to do with him. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
