are you planning on putting a sealer on that particle board. I think that it will buckle if you don't due to the humidity. Just a thought.

I am going to seal everything with a Killz like product. Water resistant, mold, mildew resistant white paint.  Everything inside on the other side of the drywall will be coated in it. It will be impenatrable when I am done... LOL

First part of the toys came rolling in today...

First to arrive are the two drill bits I orderd. One for 1" bulk heads and one for 3/4" bulk heads... Next on the list:

1 - 70 HD Blueline pump  (going to add a 55HD later but they are out of stock at the moment)
2 - Lumen Bright Pendants (I already had the 2-250W ballast)
4 - Accent light sets ( I am going to have to build more stuff)
1 - PS-400 Aqua Euro Skimmer ( I cant wait to get this in my hands)
    1-  250 Gallon Tank  (Yippie!!)

Anyone have a 100 gallon stock tank or two that they are not using right now... I would like to break the 75 and the 40 down but have no where to put them so that I can go ahead and get started on the pumbing of this thing.  I really hate to buy one and only use it once.

I am going to be in Bryant Sat. sometime. If you would let me use it that would be awesome.  If you want to get rid of it we might even can talk about that too but I need one to use for a couple weeks until I am ready to transfer everything into this thing.

This tub was used as a sump before I got it. It has 2 holes drilled at the bottom where the return pump was fed from and has bulk heads in it. There are also 2 holes at the top where the drains were but no bulkheads for those holes. Your welcome to use this if you want to if you want to buy it give Norman a ring he is the owner of it.

As I get closer to the finish of the major build part of this thing I find myself working on it more to try and get it done... It fails and I find myself covered in sheetrock mud and 2 foot deep in white paint for 3 hours.... I hope you guys are enjoying this... LOL

And check this out.. I sent for a tracking # on the Blueline 70 HD that I bought and got this in return!

"I do, and I have good news, upgrade!! So many of these pumps have
been back ordered and are literally due in as early as next week,
but since their numbers are low, someone stole your and the last 70
HD so you are getting a 100 HD at no extra cost. Again, don't worry
about valving this pump down, it will cause no harm what so ever.

Here is your tracking #, thanks again!"

SWEET!  1900 Gallons at 45 feet!  WOOT!

  15. Congrats on the pump upgrade & nice lights !!!

When I picked up a string of old LED moon lights I got to thinking...
I found some LED christmas lights on ebay for like 5 dollars per hundred strand.
    Blue, Purple, Pink, and White
I thought HEY... a T5 retrofit is like 70 bucks.... I just need supplemtal lights, The halides are really what is doing the work... What if...

So I ordered the LEDs. I am going to mix them together in the light set up and possibly put them on seperate timers.. (blues first, then purples, then pinks, then whites, then the halides and off in a reverse fashon) This is just an experiment and a fairly cheap one but if it works it will be cool. I dont know exactly how the colors will turn out and I am sure I will have to tweak it a lil.
They have eight different settings too...combination,in waves, sequential, slo glo,chasing/flash,slow fade, twinkle, flash, steady on.
This could make for some interesting effects... It makes me think of being able to simulate those expensive weather makers... Turn the halides off... turn on the purples and blues and make the pinks on slow fade and the whites on flash... Mix that with some thunder sounds and a small sprey bar accross the top and turned up flow and you have your self a tsunami!...
I know.. I know.. I think way too much about this thing but hey... what can I say.. I am addicted to it... LOL

edit: Yes, they are indoor outdoor and I am going to try to cover them inside this thing too to try and keep out as much moisture as I can.
