Re: Re: William's fluval edge conversion Nice site I always wondered how much those bulbs were worth. Raffle grabber
They have the fixture shells Empty And use those for led builds so it looks more prefab Or u can always build it out of wood like I did Nadia's pico
So once again I have changed this system The 2.5 gallon sump just wasn't big enough to contain splashing since the water level had to be pretty high for the skimmer to work properly. So I planned on installing the 5 gallon sump I originally made for the 20g half moon tank that I cracked since that tank got an upgraded sump to a ten gallon. In the process I figured why not just use the stand I was going to use for the 20 gallon as well since I'm planning on having one built haha. All in all the lesson here is when you work night shift and have three days off your awake in the middle of the night with nothing to do so you play with your fish tanks... Had to drain some water to play with the rock work, in the pic and I still haven't found a good aesthetically pleasing way to mount the led strips over the tank yet.
So after a few weeks my tank started leaking a little... Most likely from me moving it around so much when I rebuilt the filtration and put it on a new stand. Still not sure where the leak is or if its fixable. So for now I have decided to keep the stand and sump and swap out the tank for the marineland 6 gallon pillar tank. Which basically means I get a new project!!! I'll start a new thread for the new tank, with lots of pictures since I already re-wired the lights and drilled the return line in the back of the tank thirty minutes after unboxing it hahaha
Ahhh bummer! I was looking forward to seeing the completed Fluval project. Good luck with the 6 gallon. Kim/Benton, AR
The leak is tiny so ill most likely end up fixing it and setting this tank back up in the near future.
