I looked it up. It looks like they are selling them to http://www.tankbredaquatics.com/ I had trouble finding any info on the snowcasso but the little blerps i found seemed to say it is a true percula picasso. I found a blog where someone was selling some and she said there are 4 color varieties of picasso. One being snowcasso. It looks like it means it had hardly any orange and a lot of white. Very interesting how many color morphs are being made of an animal that was taken from the ocean not long ago.
Ok i found confirmation. Doni, the only producer of that color updated a blog on reefcentral in 2010 saying "*Snowcasso is*not*a hybrid. My Snowcassos are A. percula. Snowcasso (TM pending) is a name I created in August 2008 to describe my mostly white (not pure white) offspring of Picassos" i would have liked it to be a cross lol so thank you for trying.
Sustainable Aquatic’s produced: SA Snow Onyx*(left) – a crossing of*Amphiprion percula*“Onxy” with*A. ocellaris*“Snowflake”.* So, the “Snow Onyx” is a “Percularis”, a form properly denoted as*Amphiprion*Percularis “Snow Onyx”,*Percularis being the general term used for the hybrid of*A. percula*X A.*ocellaris. From what i read on another blog offspring are hard to come by when crossing species. It seems like it "might" be possible to pair but offspring would be nearly impossible for someone that doesnt have the resources. I wasnt looking to breed anyway because im not up to raising fry and fry food but i would like them to pair. I just utubed it. Not sure why i hadnt already but i found a couple of videos showing this pair. One video that is convinsing because the species colors look right and one is a LOT bigger and there hanging out in a flower pot together. Its called "wild caught picasso And snowflake breeding pair". Whats funny is that they said "wild caught" lol. Most of the videos are of onyx picasso and snowflake.
Oh wow I see the pictures that were posted. Lol I won that wavemaker. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
So as of now the snowflake is showing dominant behavior and the picasso is being submissive but i have seen them both vibrate. Im keeping an eye on them and have a divider ready. Im still interested in other's experiences of trying to pair an an oc. with a perc.
