I've gotten a couple of rock anemones by way of ebay and was very happy.

Awesome I'm kinda hesitant because well it's ebay just would like to get some input first, was it a certain dealer that was selling it? I noticed with some of the bta it was the same dealer just different adds

I was looking at the zoanthid bundles as well ricordeas. How do these guys ship? I plan on having my qt tank up before to long I'm going to use the old oceanic sump that came with my 75, questions do people typically qt nems, or corals they get? Or just dip and go?

[IMG] reef specialty is the advertiser [IMG] seems like a good deal by the sounds maybe I could get some good corals cheap I'm thinking 6 zoas, and gotta see if they'll let me get specific like brain coral, torch, ricordeas to fill up the rest of the slots

I QT nems. for about 1 day in Flat Worm Exit.

Corals can go up to 7 days for me depending on type.

I'm a little suspicious of "frag packs" that don't let you pick the corals/don't say exactly which ones you get. Really easy for them to pawn off otherwise almost unsellable stuff with a few good pieces. I'd have to really trust the vendor.

Good point doc ima do a little more reading on this company before, ill have to convince the wife to let me spend 200 on frags (which is probly the biggest obstacle) but if I get anything from this company I'll be sure and let y'all know my experience, and thank you xy I didn't know if people qt them or not after shipping. Do you dip yours too or just put them in the qt?

You can do better than that locally and be able to pick your frags.

Where all is still open locally? I know of the fish tank, Paradise, and marine world in hot springs is there more than what Google pulls up?

The Fish Tank in LR and the Fish Bowl in Searcy are my 2 local go to places because they are sponsors. If they don't have what I want I go to the other stores you mentioned.

Another great resource is posting what you are looking for. We have a bunch of coral amongst us.

I haven't checked out the fish bowl yet just gotta take a Saturday out and drive up there. Now that I'm in here I will definitely keep my eyes out right now just looking around for some nice zoas and maybe a brain frag or something.I have some nice green star polyps ive fragged the rock twice since I got it

  13. Before you spend a lot on frags you should definitely check around. I'm always happy to give frags away.

How long has your tank been up and running?

3 months. Gah it feels alot longer. I set it up back at the first of the year after tearing down my freshwater, And started adding bits here and there around mid Feb

  15. Your tank is an infant. Consider slowing down. There is more to cycling then Ammonia-Nitrite-Nitrate. I think most would not recommend anemone at three months. Even some SPS probably won't yet fare well.

Agree with Mark. Patience is the most (and hardest) skill in reefing.

Yea after i did some reading i noticed i jumped the gun a little bit. the parameters stay good (knock on wood) the only thing that really fluctuates now is my salt when I do a water change but it just drops .01 usually, I test everything to make sure, I went threw 2 cycles in the first month set up and then around id Feb got a snowflake clown, and a original Oscallaris, after a couple weeks no spike so started getting some corals (frogspawn, zoanthid, and the condylactis bubble tip). I think around March 9th I got the bubble tip, and 4 green chromis ( one decided to play in the floor with my son so I only have 3). Like I said I'm just shopping at the moment it'll be another couple weeks before I add anymore but trying to get a idea of what I like and prices

You may want to get rid of the Condy anemone. They won't host Clownfish naturally and they will roam around and sting your coral.

I've thought about it when I first got it it tried eating my clowns.. this is when I started double checking everything before getting it. And you bringing up the stinging reminds me of another question I've read a lot of places bubble tips would be OK around other bta is this true about reds with greens, or just the same strain

[IMG] any tips on getting them to release? If it becomes a problem the rock will just have to go as well
